AI can make anything look like a film. It still cannot make you feel one.

Telling stories with AI.

Watch enough of it and you notice the same thing every time. It is beautiful. It is technically astonishing. And it leaves you completely cold.

Nothing lands. Nobody in it wants anything. The room has no air in it. You admire it for a moment, and then you forget it entirely.

That is not a model problem. The models get better every month and it has not fixed a single frame of it.

Feeling is built. Out of performance, and restraint, and where the camera sits, and what you can hear underneath a scene when nobody is speaking.

Sound most of all. Almost nobody working with these tools is even thinking about sound.

We are directors at heart. The machine is only how we shoot.

Before we make anything, we answer four questions

OneWhat is this scene actually about, underneath what is being said?

TwoWhose feeling is this, and how close do we have to be to feel it?

ThreeWhat does it sound like when no one is speaking?

FourWhat does the audience carry out of it?

All four are answered before a single frame is generated. By the time the machine runs, the scene has already been directed.

The tools change every few months. None of that was ever the hard part.

Send us a brief.

Tell us what you are trying to make. If there is a story in it, we will want to talk.

Series, short films, and brand films that are actually films.
